Prof Muir My Dear Sir

I forward by [Fridays?] mail a couple of white shirts that belong to you I found them in one of my drawers. I also enclose a list of prices of [trade goods?]. Our [illegible] bill – was - $120-40. Yours and Mine and the the doctors. [Nelsons in proportion?]. It would have been less [buy?] the Golo[illegible] Bay Mine did not “pan out well” Your bill as [illegible]alaska. for [illegible] [illegible] &c. was 21-58. This with $30.00 on arrival at St. [makes?] - $171-98. I owe you $28.02 less the amount of trade goods. I am all ready [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] Washing[illegible] have been notified [illegible] “stand by” for [illegible] the first part of this month. At the request of the [illegible] Soc. of the Pacific I gave them a paper (on the “far north” to read next [Tuesday night?]

I think you will be [duly notified?]. The doctor is still here working hard for his King and [Country?] – I hope you are well and enjoying yourself. I should like to meet Mrs Muir and [illegible] wondeful give before I go East of. You come down I wish your would come to our house or let us know where to find you. [Ms?] Hooper and the babies are well but somewhat undecided as to what to do about going East with me I have no idea whether I will come back in the spring – but shall try to remain East I have read two letters from the [illegible] since he went East he is till in Washington but expects to go to Chicago soon on a months leave With kindest regards —
