My dear Mrs. Muir, You are too good to your children – Wanda and I decided that yesterday after-noon. Mama opened the boy herself so she had the full pleasure of gathering the sprigs of rosmary and all the sweet-smelling things that she loves. The oranges are the fattest and the yellowest we have had, and it is the thanks of the family I am sending, not merely my own. Wanda and I are going to the city on Saturday to see Mr. Keith’s pictures, We shall have a fine time, I know. I am writing before school, Mrs. Muir, so I have time for only a word. Mama wants me to be sure and make you feel how much she appreciates your thoughtfulness for I’m sure you know with with-out my telling you. Lovingly yours, Charlotte Hoffmann Thursday morning- Early.
