To John Muir

Dear friend

I am writing you at an [illegible] hense this short note. I cannot tell if it will ever find you for I don’t know whether I am addressing the living or dead or whether you are in the same part of the world as when I last received from you. There has been many changes since I last received any word from you. I am now in the ministry labouring with the Baptists. I am at present engaged in the village of Erin Ontario where I preach twice every sabbath. I have many times longed to see some of your works. I should feel highly

honored to receive anything from you. If you get this and answer I will try and send you one of my photos which I had taken lately. I hope joy and prosperity has attended you in all your winding paths through life and that not only earth when you have finished lifes journey, but also heaven greet you saying well done. I think you had better address me at Meaford P.O. as I can have your letter forwarded to me. Please dont forget me

Your cordial friend J. H. Boyes
