Daggett, May 22 - 09Dear Papa-Your nice cheerful letter of the 19th came two days ago, & it did me good to hear how fine my old home place is looking - it must be beautiful now.I am steadily growing stronger & am very careful all the time. We have been having a great deal of wind, but it dont bother me. My new porch is very comfortable & the corner where I sleep is so sheltered I dont get much sand even when the wind is fairly howling.04505Im glad aunt Margaret keeps so well, also that the babies are healthy. I had a good long letter from Wanda last week, & she seems happy. I am going to ask for some more money but its not for myself this time. Mr Van Dyke has just asked me for $372.00, - a bill has come up against the ranch unexpectedly & as they havent the ready money Mr Van Dyke asked me for this - for 60 days. Please send me a check for 372.00 payable to me & I'll sign it over to him. He wants it as soon as possibleIll write every day from now onLovingly Helen04505
