John Muir

Helen [Muir]

Home, Feb. 9, 1909.Darling Helen:The rain has been most lavish until yesterday when we had some hours of sunshine, & how precious & charming it seemed. The H. H. battle in Congress is mostly in our favor so far, & there is little danger of any legislation against the valley this session at least. These clippings I think will charm you. Certainly [Winning?] is far better than common among newspaper characters.Lovingly John Muir
