Dear Mr Colby -

I find that the slight introduction to the H. H. article wouldn't do. So I'm trying to remodel & strengthen the whole - beginning, middle & end just as I feared that exacting Scotch conscience of mine would compel me to do. So I'm pegging away at the endless job, hoping to be able to mail it tomorrow or next day. It will probably be 3 or 400 words longer than the original sketch, but some of the Whiting part may be left out. I'll send to you at Berkeley so that you may criticize it & suggest changes as in my wrath I may say too much.

Ever Yours
