Bear Mr. Manson:

I'm glad you found my sketch of the N[orth] Pacific Coast Glaciers useful to you in your studies. On the usefulness of studies on the distribution of life-giving rain there can be no question. As to how Mr. Har[riman] would regard work of this kind I have no means of knowing. He is a tremendously heavy-laden business man. choosing and making his own ways, unsteerable as a glacier.
