got acquainted & quite a friendship was formed & through my Bro he was brought to our home for my mother to nurse, which she did, but at one time it looked as if the end was very near. He near as I can remember he was at our home about 3 or 4 months. I gave your letters to my Bro that is older than I, it may be he can tell you more than I can. I am very sorry I am not able to give you the information you wish. Hoping you well forgive my seeming neglect in not answering sooner, I am.
