& [the divine idea shines out of them raying] radiate spiritual beauty [which the rocks & snow only] divine thought however covered & concealed by rock & snow. Mr. Delaney has hardly had time to ask me how I had enjoyed my trip though he has facilitated & encouraged my plans all summer & declares I’ll be [a great] famous [man] some day which seems strange to a wandering lover of wilderness with never a thought or dream of fame only humbly reverently hoping & trying to trace & learn & enjoy Nature’s lessons.
