[iii] 1874 Trip 1st to Mt Shasta from Yo [Yosemite] as guide to two tourists as far as Tahoe. Then to Redding by rail from Truckee then to Shasta afoot. Stop at Salmon hatchery ex to summit Shasta ex to Lava Beds with hunters then around Shasta base. On way back to S.F. [San Francisco] go from Marysville to [Brownsville]. [Thens] ex across Feather River fork from La Grange & back by [Forbestown] to Brownsville. Here enjoyed grand rainstorm flood in [Forest] of the Yuba.
