A dark rocky ridge [ ] ornament[al/ed] noble design on right long sweeping curve on left. The rim can [canyon] with innumerable folds & groves sweeping to it in front & swell over swell boss over boss oak dotting below pine feathered above all hazed as with the atmosphere of Ind [Indian] summer

Sun rise, beams pouring thro [through] gaps in rocky crest

Warm level beams burnishing across [shoulders] in so fitting a way that they seemed to have [warm]

channels for themselves as gls [glaciers] do. Oak [shining] stems set aglow

The ground colored with gilia heads purp purplish grayish with Plantago Patagonica Red Brown with buck eye, dark live oak & sycamore in gulch
