96 Besides the main crevasse several 100 yds in length there are a great many smaller ones running par [parallel] with main one open only a few inches to [fraction] of at top This crevassed [portion] of glacier is on the SE [southeast] corner of basin A wider crevasse [sketch] extends across near the mid [middle] of E trib [east tributary] of Lyell Gl [Glacier]. It is not visible in early part of season & ought to be remembered by those [ ] [etc.]
