[flowers] 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inch wide, 1 inch long, rich purple, petals finely fussy haired on margin, stamens and pistil dark purple, calyx greenish purple, hairy on margin of sepals, branchlets and pedicils purple and moderately hairy, leaves about 1-1/2 inch long, 5/8 wide, obovate, rounded on end, fringed with hair, white 1/8 inch long, separate buds and branches, stems [Sketch: [South] of [glaciers] of 4 peaked [mountain]]
