There is a dry rather open space on the n bank of river above the mead of Tiss where glorious view of all on both sides may be seen just above where the river breaks in heavy rapids across end of talus and opp fall wh separates the Tiss from the three towers. Cal coffee. Leather leaf like Manzanita. Rapids on Main N F of S F a few hundred yds above confluence of Tiss cascade are v massive roaring, humming, hammering, clashing, silvery, jingling, where roars over calcus from castles of W side. Mid of rapids alt 5215, head about 5800, all one roaring foaming cascade far as could see, at least 6 ms from main val rapidly narrows to R solid across.
