18 Broad [ ] larkspur [ ] Ribbon S 15 E 1 ½ m from mouth E from near source nearly N at latter end of source Ribbon gl small about 4 m long 3 wide declivity of x [bed] ( x fall) very steep [sketch: hill lol & can of El Cap fall, Do Do, Divide of Rib & Yo Sem, Divide of Ribbon & cascade] 19 Cascade Glacier 200 ft from E rim S 50 W N Tall from [Ribbon] Direction of E ridge S 25 W 1 m above Cascade meadows S 45 W [Striae] N distinct Basin narrow here 1 m wide at top near where it emerges upon a flat meadow plain, it breaks away into large precipices 5 x 600 ft h near [perpen] at mouth of narrow basin ¼ m below here is a well formed terminal moraine. [sketch: crosses at lower end of course, (glac complies with form of cleavage) Top of ridge. Bottom dome 2 m above [meadow], [ ] Yo Sem, glac in beginning descent treaks its hed in [stairs] [ ] [ ] ft in thickness
