These are found to simply [incline] towards one another to inclose the Vals in gradual converging curves like the bows of a boat. These mtns are bare treeless yet flowering in springtime & often in their silence set [in] loud [rush] & roar with short lived torrents called cloud bursts. Their smooth flowing lines are exquisitely beautiful when perceived against the oppressive sense of desolation so apt to [overbear] the vision of one [accustomed] to [the] [ ]
