Helen [Muir Funk]

But many things there conspired to hinder me. The principal cause has been the grip all last winter. I have been going nowhere but I'm getting better now and when I get a complete copy of the next book m.s. I mean to try to make you a good visit while I am reading it over. Whenever you need any more fruit let me know. Ever darling, however widely separated, I amYour devoted father lover and friend,[illegible]Martinez, Cal. October 28th. 1914[illegible]
