he was talking about: Hetch Hetchy 30 miles from Yosemite! the bill passed unanimously by the House! etc. I broke my rule and wrote him a (private) letter about the article & referred him to my reply to Pinchot. I'll bet he didn't write the article himself.This fight has had one happy result for me, my dear Muir. It has brought us even nearer together and revealed to us more clearly the affection we have for each other. We must take care of ourselves and prolong our days as much as possible. May the Creator of beautiful Hetch Hetchy guard you and con[illegible]d [His?] enemies. I wish I had "the harp of David, [illegible] of the Lord" as I call him to sing or I should of the Lost Valley. This getting three meals a day is my first duty. Always your faithful and attached friendR. U. Johnson
