Helen [Muir Funk]
They even gave me a champagne dinner & many others hardly less notable. trying to lionize me almost like my own country friends though at first I felt dreadfully lonesome, couldn't speak a word of Portuguese. Here too I'm faring wonderfully wellin the home of a Scotch banker.I got back to Para on the 15th & am waiting for a steamer to Rio. May have to wait a week learning what I can of the adjacent country in the meantime. From Rio I plan to go to Buenos Aires, thence up some of the rivers & across the Andes to Valparaiso etcBe very careful of your health darling I'll be home in the spring
