the Sequoia to the King river Valley - also a typical Red Wood Forest & one of Port Orford Cedars & any other interesting trees of the mountain which it may be practicable for me to reach.Any advice you may kindly furnish to attain my object & save time & trouble will be very highly appreciated.I was in California four year ago arriving just at the time of the earthquake & fire which in its calamities so damaged communications & so occupied peoples attention that I failed to see some of the places I had hoped to visit & was unable to make use of many letters of recommendation kindly supplied to me by Mr Gifford Pinchot.
