[letterhead]ADAMANA, ARIZ., Feb. 20 1909Darling Helen: I was sorry to miss seeing you at the station last Monday. I thought of planning to have you go with me on this trip but feared your taking cold on the Pullmans. John Burroughs will leave Chicago next Tuesday In the meantime I'm reviewing our petrified forest work. Tomorrow I'm going to the North forest to camp until Burroughs comes. After he has seen this region we will go to the Grand Canyon. Then home as far as I am concerned.09255
