Daggett, Cal. March 16Dear Papa -Yesterday being Sunday the post office closed early and I didnt get my letter finished in time, so that's why you didn't hear from me. I got the boxes Saturday morning, and found all the plants in good condition. I have them in the ditch to freshen them before I plant them, and this morning the little daisies are blooming and look as cheerful as if they'ed had a foggy night. Dick has plowed several furrows around my shanty.I am boarding at Mrs Funk's and have got rested up again, so feel as fine as ever. We are having perfect weather. Yesterday it was 85° in the north shade, and last night was warm and full of moonlight.04107
