[letterhead]Yosemite Valley, Cal. June 18, 1906My dear Mr. Muir:-This will surprise you but also explain our not going to see you again in Berkeley. We started for the valley in a few hours notice and are to be here three weeks have been here almost a week now.It is all as you have expressed it and so much wonder confined in a few miles is "[illegible] od". One of these water-falls and one cliff would be enough but it is as [nature?] usually does things [most lavishly done?].The water is very high the whole valley has been flooded. Many of the trails we have not been able to take but we have gone to Glacier Point and yesterday went to see the rainbow at Bridal Veil Falls. The memory of that is a pot of gold. This is all and old old story to you and03744
