I was in hopes that Governor Budd could be depended upon.In the September number 1 return to the forestry question again, apropos of the resolutions of the Board of Trade of New York in favor of a national forestry commission. This Board of Trade is going to endeavor to organize all the other commercial bodies of the country in favor of a decent forestry policy. Their action was taken in response to addresses before them by Pinchot and myself, and next Winter we hope to get the thing through Congress.You can fancy that 1 am pretty busy with Gildor in Europe and Buel away for July on his vacation. But things seem to be going pretty smoothly.1 have missed very much seeing you here this year, as 1 had counted on doing if I did not get to go to you.My wife and daughter are at Pride's Crossing, which is02005
