I think it was a great pity you did not visit Tasmania as I am sure you would have got some new specimens; but I hope the last trip was not the final, and that you will soon take it into your head again to visit Australia; and then I will be better prepared to go with you as I will know the geography of Australia better; and then we will break all records for cheap travelling. That trip of ours up to Queensland is still a bitter pill for Liddell [&?] [illegible]hail to swallow; only the other day they were saying there must have been some fluke about it. I said[1][letterhead]St. Kilda, Aug. 1904 Dear Mr MuirI received your kind and welcome letter and was glad to see by it that you had arrived home safe after your all around the world tour I also received your book and has read a portion of it, and finds it very interesting which I thank you very much for it, it was very thoughtful of you to go to all the trouble in sending it. but I will read it, and keep it in remembrance of you, not that it is necessary as I will never forget you.
