have the refusal of them--but sure as fate they will be published!!!I am heart & soul in favor of Sargents forestry bill, to turn over the whole care & management to the war department & so is the Sierra Club from wh I will see that you hear soon. This will be the solution of all forest troubles.When is your Star book coming outbeen left for although the book as it is, is full of the truest & hardest science the ordinary reader will not be able to see it. The few notices I have seen show this, but the few working scientists will not fail to see that the book is full of science especially of geology however covered & smothered with brush & bloom. Sometime I mean to write a hard geolical [sic] book. In the meantime I am writing a little book on Yosemities that will answer for a guide book. & I have a half dozen others in mind--letters, adventures, etc. The Century Co. will of course
