3out the few trees we want to screen us in - Vernon has to go to S.F. this week end for exposition work and the following to Berkeley for a lecture, then on the 26th we start for our Lands of quiet and delight, for the Easter week. We are trying to rent this house for the summer. We shall be in Berkeley where Vernon has (I think unwisely) consented to give a summer-school course, part of the time and the rest at Carmel.I dont know why I should be boring you with an itinerary, except that I am wondering if you know when the next Sierra club meeting is (Vernon doesn't!) and if you can't plan & come down to us then. I suggest that time only as being perhaps easier for you. We shall be here until the 26th except the Saturdays and Sundays2[in margin: if you could come sooner than the Club date.
