John Muir

Very useful and as plucky as ever. I did not send you more photos of game, you have some so much better taken here by your fellow countrymen; what I send you will I think be useful in describing the country; the photo of the [Kikuger?] was taken years ago before they were in touch with white people and very few people have been able to get some of them during the past 5 years at least the smaller ones. I have not managed as yet to go home, but I hope to do so in October and though my health is fairly good, a thorough change will do me a world of good and I will be my own and wily self again, the altitude & climate are very trying for the nerves and (memory)Trusting this will find you in good health.Believe me Africa Trip Yours very sincerelyL.
