[28 AUG. 1902]My dr JohnsonIm home from the mtns. & have just finished correction of proof of the Col Can wh Ill mail today with this. I found the Cos chk for $190, but I meant 250 besides the cost of trip. so I want 60 more [illegible] After spending 10 days with the Sierra Club in Kings canon I crossed over to the Giant Forest of the Kamah Mt Whitney & thence made a long interesting trip to the Kern Can tracing it from the lakes to the head then to the top of Mt Whitney. This is a grand [illegible] trip thru the highest of the high Sierra is having made by greater & greater nos every yr & would I think make a good article for the maga & chap for the Yo book Keith was with me & offers to illustrate it. besides I have lots of good photos03033
