[2]Florence the writer, just married. The weather is lovely & I look forward to a fine trip. I wish you could all be here while this weather lasts, though the hotels are [dressy?] & miserable Dr Merriam says he hopes to have a family camp here next summer & will insist you & the girls to stay a month or two. His own two girls are camping this summer with Prof Gilbert on a mountaintop in the Virginia Blue Ridge. The heat this season in Washington was killing hot Merriam says. I expect to be back home in about 2 or 3 weeks Love to Maggie & all the rest. Midge [The?] chipmunks are in dozens getting breakfast mighty merry.[in margin: I'll tell later about forwarding letters]Ever Yours Muir02720
