be good all the time & learn my lessons. The round tower on the hill in the picture at the beginning of the letter is one of the places I used to play at on Saturdays when there was no school Here is a little sprig of heather a man gave me yesterday & another for Wanda. The heather is just beginning to come into bloom I have not seen any of it01701growing yet & I dont know where the man found it. But I'm going pretty soon up the mountains & then Ill find lots of it, & wont it be lovely, miles & miles of it, covering whole mountains & making them look purple, I think I must camp out in the heather. Im going to come home just as soon as I get back from Switzerland, about the time the grapes are ripe I expect I wish I could see you my little loveJohn Muir your papa
