01422[letterhead]April 29. 1890Dear Mr. Muir:I have your two letters and thank you for them. I am sending the MS and will write you soon. Leave the Kings River Canon till another time, but give us the Tuolumne at once & cheer the heart of yours truly.How auspicious an angel would grow in California! You are "all off" about Mackenzie, or I'm a pumpkin. I wish you would write me a letter to show to the Committee on Public Lands supporting the suggestion (your own by the way) to extend the Vandever limits.
