The likeness could not have been made stronger. I am very happy to have it. Mine was taken a month or two since and I am almost ready to send you one; but as you go to the Mountains so soon, I should be shut up for months, and I shrink from the isolation. I fear the feeling is vanity – by what ever name called it is foolish. Your criticism on Dean Ramsays Reminiscences was delightful! How charming it would be could all
