The 17 acres we bought 50 days since is the cheapest of any ground in that locality at 3000.$ per acre, we paid 2000.$ per acre. I hope you got the paper and plat of the city which I sent you. J. and Dot are very well and happy. Joanna is doing famously with the book of childs stories which she is working upon, some of the eight or ten complete [illegible- verses?] very smoothly and easily all their length [thr'd?]With love to you all I am truly Walter Brown01219
