Illus.: 120 plates with printed tissues: etchings, photogravures, ""photo etchings""; halftone text illus.; in each portfolio are 6 removable etchings printed on satin. At the back of Part 10 is the title page: Picturesque California: The Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Slope .... New York and San Francisco: J. Dewing Publishing Company n. d. [c. 1888]; also ""Contents"" and ""List of Plates"" for each part. The set we examined was no. 176 at the Henry E. Huntington Library. Muir's contributions are as in no. 167.
