CEYLON OBSERVER – April 17, 1958, Page 5. Audience Reaction Audience reaction, as far as the Dave Brubeck Quartet is concerned, is tremendously good, I learn. In any case, one thing that has proved this contention is the fact that the quartet put over Bach on their opening night. This, I understand, is only for very advanced audiences, and the group will not play it unless they feel that the audience is with them, so to speak. Maybe the quartet will come back one day on their own. They will find a few changes, among them a completely reconditioned Green Room, air conditioned and designed for perfect acoustics.
