Elucidations about several rather difficult cases of equilibrium
The main problem is: If four rigid rods are joined in succession, so that they can be turned freely about their angles, and also to these are attached elastics inside the angles, which are endowed with given contracting forces, to find the type of quadrilaterals which will result by the action of these forces, so that it remains in equilibrium.
