A more complete theory of machines which are put in motion by the reaction of water
In this work, as well as in E259, Euler delves into the entire theory of his main idea from E179, now in greater generality. Then, he calculates the optimum proportions for his proposed turbine. (Based on Clifford A. Truesdell's introduction to Opera Omnia Series II, Volume 12.)
