Martinez California July 15 1896.My Dear Papa, We have not heard from you for several days. We hope that you recieved the letters we sent to Helena.Wanda and I are very well but Mama's eyes hurt her a great deal. Grandma is a little better. Mrs. Theobalds is staying with her this week. Marguerite went home to Sonora last Sunday, she was not very well but she cooked a fine dinner with ice cream for us before she left. She said she must rest a while now. [Ah Yin?] is washing today.
