St. KildaYork RoadEdinburgh 24/9/05Dear Mr. MuirI have just received a letter from Mrs. Lunam telling me of the sad bereavement you have sustained in the death of your dear wife, and I just send this little note to say how much I sympathize with you in your loss. I experienced the same in 1889 when my first wife died so I know what it is. The last time I heard from Mrs. Lunam was some months ago when she told me you were on the point of starting for Arizona with your daughter Helen, who I hope was benefitted in health by the change. What a fortunate thing your other daughter was at home and with her mother to the last. I have sent you a newspaper03637
