Septr 24 1868 Danl Dear Your very welcome letter of July 7th gave me much pleasure and satisfact- ion. I am thankful to know that your health is good and that you know how to take care of it and I hope all the bright future you anticipate will be fully realized. I thank you for the paper you sent me. I liked it much and gave it to Sarah. We have had a very busy rainy summer the rainy weather still continues David Muir and John Reid both came and helped your father with the harvest work - your - father has had a very sore knee - he got it hurt while building the stacks - he sat a week with the sore leg on
