[1][letterhead]New York, June 21 1893Dear Louie. I bought my ticket yesterday for Liverpool & will sail on the Etruria, instead of the Adriatic as I first intended. The former being a much faster & better boat & I would gain nothing in time by going today. I was very glad to get news from home through Wandas letter of the 12th. As I was anxious about Helen. I am sorry to hear of grandmas illness, I suppose she has been doing too much work in hot weather. The weather here is very hot & sultry. I'm melting in my shirt sleeves. Nevertheless I am in good health & endure the heat as well as any of the people here
