John Muir, James S. Merriam, unidentified, William Keith in Giant Forest, Sequoia National Park, California. William Keith, a well-known artist and friend of Muir’s, traveled with him and others to Sequoia National Park in 1902. Over the years Muir acquired many of Keith's paintings including the two in the Muir Experience.
